BOYS DON'T CRY. GRAD PROJECT.

My Roles:

  • Ilustration

  • Concept Art

  • Animation

  • Storytelling

Within my portfolio, I am excited to present a series of two compelling motion design pieces created for a thought-provoking campaign that advocates against toxic masculinity.

Through visually captivating storytelling, these motion design pieces aim to challenge the damaging effects of toxic masculinity, the project strives to encourage men to celebrate their masculinity in their own unique way, free from societal pressures and expectations.

Using a combination of captivating visuals, dynamic animations, and evocative soundscapes, these motion design pieces invite viewers to question prevailing stereotypes, ignite conversations, and foster a more inclusive society where all individuals can freely express themselves.

I decided to go for a frame by frame animation approach, hand illustrated style with a soft color palette and a few accents of stronger colors such as red and dark blue. For this project, I was responsible for the entire creative process—from concept art and storyboarding to sound design and final animation, and with the help and guidance of my mentor, teachers and creative peers, I was able to bring this vision to life, refining my skills and pushing creative boundaries to deliver a piece that resonates both visually and emotionally.
